Can we have a float trip since Lynn isn't going? Absolutely! The party continues on the 22nd Annual Eskridge Memorial Day Float! (The float trip bylaws allow for this in the festivity continuance provisions. As long as one person wears an official float trip shirt from any year, we are allowed to party and float.) So, we'll meet at Sam's on Saturday May 24, camp that night, float the next day and camp again that night. Then we'll break camp and come home on May 26. What if Lynn feels left out while we're having fun? We have professional counselors standing by. What are the details on what we need to bring and where we need to be? The details on last years web site should be good enough. The dates have changed and there may be slight variations in costs. But it's the same camp, same meal plan, same river, etc. http://www.eskridgefloat.com/2002/main.html Did you really get Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf to be the Minister of Float Information? Certainly. He receives the same salary as the rest of the eskridgefloat.com staff. The website leaves me confused, are there going to be shirts this year? Unless you've been living in a cave, you should recognize the satire of using the Iraqi Minister of Information. But I have been living in a cave. What do you mean? C'mon, do you really think shirts would appear if there wasn't an order form and instructions for payment? Maybe... THERE ARE NO SHIRTS! (At the last minute and at great expense, Dana pulled together a shirt. The image can be viewed at http://www.eskridgefloat.com/2003/22_shirt.html) You don't have to get huffy. So, are Cheryl and Lynn really being held captive by US Marines? No. But they are under house arrest and are being guarded by Spy, Sydney and one to be named later. They will not be fed a cajun seafood boil that Saturday. http://www.eskridgefloat.com/iraqjack/deck.htm#cheryl When I click on the Queen of Hearts I get taken to some bizarre set of photos featuring a jolly roger. What's with that? You weren't kidding when you said you lived in a cave. That's the shirt from the 13th Annual float trip. People have been lugging it around the world for 9 years getting pictures of it. That's weird. And when I click on the King of Hearts it takes me to a Blackjack game with the Iraq most wanted deck. It really doesn't fit my screen so it's hard to play and the rules are kind of odd. Shut up, Bemis. | |
